His message was revolutionary, for light penetrated the darkness of a lesser light available at that time. After humble beginnings, a core of saints responded as the Holy Spirit opened the eyes and ears of their understanding. They formed the nucleus of a work that still survives throughout North and South America today. Most revealing is the personal revelation Brother Sam himself received as a youth eager to serve God.
