While it is essential to be informed, let us not contaminate ourselves with negativity. King David wrote, “Blessed {spiritually prosperous} is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful” (Psalm 1:1). Yet, every news channel connects us with the very people David warned we should avoid. Distractions are so pervasive that Brother Singh states that we can barely get inspiration from God for want of searching books, commentaries, and apps to tickle peoples’ ears. A preacher that draws inspiration from any source other than God offers the counsel of the ungodly.
