Van juweelontwerp aan de Antwerpse Academie tot haute couture-borduren aan de legendarische École Lesage in Parijs met een afrit richting taxidermie: haar parcours leest als ware ontdekkingsreis tussen ambacht en verbeelding.Na een eerste job bij hoedenmaker Christophe Coppens, maakte ze de overstap naar danscompagnie Rosas van Anna-Teresa De Keersmaeker, waar ze de kostuumafdeling in goede banen leidde.Het was via Rosas dat ze haar eerste professionele stappen in de Opéra Garnier van Parijs zette, en van het ene kwam het andere. Vandaag doet ze de productie van de kostuums van de Opéra National de Paris, het oudste, meest prestigieuze balletgezelschap van Frankrijk.Het borduren gaat vandaag vooral door in haar eigen atelier Heide Winne, waar creativiteit in al z’n vormelijke vrijheid de ruimte krijgt om welig te tieren.Normaliter bordurend in Parijs, maar deze keer gewoon bij ons in Mechelen.
