After graduating Norman Thomas HS in 1988, I married and joined the US Army. Stationed in Seoul, Korea I started my family and took an early leave. Upon my return to Brooklyn and juggling some family issues, I moved to Sunset Park; Where I have raised my children Jeffrey and Victoria, since 1993.  In 1994, I was introduced to the non profit sector during my employment with Hispanic Young Peoples Alternatives, Inc. In 1997, I began working as a community organizer with Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Inc. It was there, I began to develop my leadership qualities.
