S4-49 REFLECTIONS (Br. Sam, 4-29-23)
from MY GOSPEL @ Desmond R Singh · host Joe McCormick
Reflecting on our recent lessons, in context to our period of history, we are reminded: “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near” (Isaiah 53:6). The need to serve God that people once had has declined. Worldliness has encroached on our lives and homes so much that faithfulness is no longer a priority for many. Moreover, the Body of Christ has become susceptible to iniquity. Pseudo-Holy Ghost experiences replace the power of God to change lives. Therefore, God has to intervene with processes that draw us back to Him. “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy” (1Peter 4:12).
