So many think they deserve 100k plus but want to learn for multiple years while all other industry start at much lower this is specific for cyber .For IT we recently posted a senior position and when we asked basic questions in office 365 majority couldn't even answer. The level of understanding is not the same as it used to be. Now this i blame on three things. University have a lot of answer for from a learning and saying to students change jobs often and use it to springboard your salary.Business need to be held accountable and not use staff as disposal tools. Recruit when required and train to improve and increase salary as the business grows Third is students only want to learn to pass a course not to understand how and why you do it. I had an interesting chat with others that say students ask what they need to study for just tell us what going to be in the exam.
