For a court that only existed for five months, the Salem Court of Oyer and Terminer sure knew how to exacerbate the chaos. The arrests (just under 150) and even the executions of the condemned witches (in the double digits) are not providing relief to any of the main afflicted. Instead, more afflicted, more accusations, and eventually a lot of confessors would overwhelm the system until Governor Phips finally steps in.
