Say NO To Lashon Hara Day 11

The Chafetz Chaim explains that when a person speaks Lashon Hara, they are usually doing so because they view themselves as superior to the person they are speaking about, thus committing the sin of arrogance. Furthermore, speaking Lashon Hara for personal gain is even worse and can cost a person their share in the world to come. Additionally, speaking Lashon Hara is a sin of Chilul Hashem because it shows a disregard for God's commandments and His importance in our lives. The message is clear: it is important to hold our tongues and avoid speaking negatively about others.
