Say NO To Lashon Hara Day 13
from Say NO To Lashon Hara · host Shlomo Farhi
In Judaism, a minimum of two witnesses are required for a testimony to be considered in court or any other situation. Speaking Lashon Hara (negative speech) about someone without this proper testimony falls under the sin of lo yakum ed echad ve'ish lechol avon. The Chafetz Chaim also states that being part of a group that speaks Lashon Hara does not excuse one's actions and falls under the sin of lo t'hyeh akhareh rabim leraot (do not follow the majority to do evil). It is important to choose which group of people to associate with wisely and to not let them drag us down to negative places.
