Season 1, Episode 3: Becoming in 2026

from Dream Midwifery The Podcast · host Jennifer Murphy

Hello Shining Ones,Welcome to this week’s ‘Sunday Service’, our third episode of Dream Midwifery: The Podcast. This week we explore the emergence phase in rites of passage. From enclosure and metamorphosis in Samhain to a slow emergence at Imbolc, entering into the energy of becoming in 2026. When we move into our becoming with intention, we place ourselves on the road to Tara, the royal citadel of ancient Ireland. Tara is Temair in Irish Gaelic, meaning ‘high place’, ‘eminence’, ‘hill’. Tara is the high, eminent place within us, the place of soul. No one could enter Tara who was not devoted to their becoming. We draw on the symbology of Tara and midwifery to illuminate the role of pleasure and sensual aliveness to life as wayshowers on our soul’s journey. How the creative energy within us needs to be expressed and if we try to contain it because of feelings of not-enoughness or too-muchness or whatever collective shame we’ve taken on, it can attack our nervous systems (compounding that shame as an unlived part) and dull our spirit. We also touched upon the very important topic of juicy pears as you will soon hear…A few quotes from our conversation:“Creative energy needs to be expressed. It can't be contained. It needs to be moved. It needs to be allowed to be expressed and to move and to sway and to dance and to sing and to create. If anybody is a highly sensitive, highly creative person and they’re feeling really anxious, maybe there's something that is trying to be born from you.”“Little do we know at the time, but the pressure and the constriction of being squeezed through that birth canal is exactly the pressure that we need to then fully embrace all of life. To fully inhale all of life, we first need to be compressed so that we can then expand.”“There are so many times that you abandon yourself or you have to dissociate to survive. For me to actually say to myself, ‘I’m devoted to you. I'll do this for you’ - it’s a really powerful act. It’s like choosing you.”“What brings me alive is romancing life. Being in relationship with life. I was walking this morning and I saw this beautiful blackbird, then the footpath was glistening with frost and it felt like every step that I took something was glistening back. That’s what makes me feel alive—just that romance, I'm in relationship with life.”Sarah’s Book:If you'd love to learn more about Sarah’s potent, primal and poetic book, WOMAN: A guide to living your best life by setting yourself free and coming home to your true nature, have a look here. THRESHOLD:In case you missed it this week, we’ve just launched THRESHOLD - a 31-day sacred container of ritual and ceremony to guide you across the threshold from Samhain to Imbolc. We begin on the Capricorn new moon, 18th January. We’d love to welcome you in our tuath, our tribe.Sin é, that’s it for now.Le meas agus grá,Jen & Sarah x This is a public episode.
