Meet Danielle McAlpine Johnson who lives by the words: “Where passion meets pain, we find purpose”. Having been a model, TV show creator, cast member, film director, and producer, Danielle knows the industry from both sides of the lens. She and her husband (singer-songwriter) Chico Johnson formed CheekyMac Productions together. Recently they produced the series, “Beyond the fire” which is a documentary series following the stories of Australia's unsung heroes as they band together to create life from ashes after the Australian black summer bush fire Crisis. She created and co-stars in the TV series, “Behind the Sash” which she describes as: “Take the raw doco style of Ross Kemp, the charitable heart of Undercover Boss, the glamour of Australia’s Next Top Model – throw it in a pot and you have BEHIND THE SASH!”. In each episode, they travel to one unique location, shine a light on one issue of injustice and discover one extraordinary woman taking a stand. Danielle and I have an amazing down-to-earth conversation where she is able to share her struggles, triumphs, hopes, and passions.
