SEEING IS BELIEVING

Sha'ar HaBitachon - Episode Forty-Six , # ~ ! Despite the incredible power of Pure Clear Faith, Rabbeinu Bachaya surprises us with his introductory statement of the third chapter; Building our Bitachon (essentially a faith-based Trust in G-d) is going to require much more than Blind Faith! After laying the (previously introduced) solid seven-layer foundation, one might have thought that the Structure of our “Trust Psyche” could now be built. Yet clearly the author believed that, not withstanding the fully articulated categories of necessary trust criteria, a critical component is still missing. This all, it must be emphasized, is despite the detailed scriptural references and common-sense logic already presented. In this episode we focus on the need for and importance of achieving not only a spiritual and cerebral connection with the Creator, but also a profound emotional relationship as well. As we will discover, then, and only then, can we hope to Build our Bitachon and bring about lasting inner change that will grant us the tranquility and peace of mind that true Trust in Hashem is all about.
