The sky isn’t the limit for this week’s guest, former Presidential appointee, entrepreneur, and author Laura Gassner Otting. Her most recent book is called Limitless and that’s the message she shares on today’s show. Imposter syndrome was real for Gassner Otting, who said it took pushing herself far outside her comfort zone — even after 25 years of experience in a variety of professional fields — in order to realize her own limitless potential. She had to push other people’s ideas about her own limits to the side and seek out challenges she didn’t think she’d be able to surmount.  She shares tips about diving in headfirst, learning from failure, and getting the most out of the one life we live. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN: Evaluate your own metrics of success Discover hidden potential within yourself Shed limiting beliefs based on others’ ideas of constraints Kick imposter syndrome and realize if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you Pursue projects that are in line with your ideals   Order Laura's book Limitless here. • Limitless Learning

    05/12/2020

In this #jammingwithjason #internalauditpodcast episode I dig into improving your learning so you can unlock your limitless potential. It's a bit of a potpourri episode, one where we literally talk about potpourri, but a few other topics besides learning :) You don't just need training, you need to LEARN ... and they are two different things. You can take a training and not learn anything, and you can learn without going to training. To learn you need a combination of knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience. Training only helps you with the first two. One of the best ways to improve your abilities and get experience is through community with others. Without this aspect of learning you really don't integrate and "learn" the information fully. Come join me in some communities where I hang out so we can interact directly. Podcasts, while they are fabulous are a one-way communication. When we connect in community the conversation can go both ways.
