Session 003: Jeremy Hindle | Headstart

from The Bull Sessions · host The Bull Sessions

In this week’s episode, Ross, Henry and Tom chat to Jeremy Hindle, Co-Founder of Headstart. Headstart is an app that uses Machine Learning technology to help employers identify the best-suited talent in the shortest period. Unlike many job-searching platforms, Headstart focuses on candidates’ personality, behaviours, strengths and motivations, rather than just grades and experience.  Jeremy gives an intriguing insight into his life, including overcoming struggles during his childhood and teaching himself to code. He talks through his decision not to pursue a career as a neuroscientist, and building one of the most successful Minecraft communities online.  He outlines his journey through employment, from struggling to find a job to his rapid rise owning his own games company. In between the boys discuss Jeremy’s philosophy behind building successful teams, his brief stint as a topless model and why Elon Musk is so successful. Finally, Jeremy explains how all his past experiences came together when he met Nick Shekerdemian, an Oxford student with the idea for Headstart. He explains the philosophy behind the company, its benefits to both employers and graduates, as well as why it could be a game changer for large companies. ----more---- Check out Headstart here: https://www.headstartapp.com https://www.facebook.com/headstartapp
