Severe flooding hits Sydney as Adelaide braces for deluge

Sydney experienced severe flooding overnight with over 100 millimetres of rain falling at Lidcombe before 10pm, while Bankstown and Canterbury recorded more than 70 millimetres. The deluge triggered over 600 emergency calls and 450 SES operations including swift water rescues.
