Sharing Knowledge and Networking with Baris Gokalp

Baris Gokalp is a leader of International Digital Treasury Management in Turkey with a background in corporate finance and risk management for multinational businesses. He is an accomplished corporate finance professional with hands-on experience in treasury management and he has spearheaded initiatives in Digital Treasury Management.

As a strategic and results-driven treasury executive he has nearly 20 years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance and Treasury Management in Europe, Asia and MENA.

He currently holds the position of Director of Treasury at Sisecam, one of the world’s leading glassware manufacturers as well as being Founder Chairman of Kurumsal Hazine Yöneticileri Derneği and a Member of the Management Board at Blockchain.

Barıs began as an Operation Specialist and later Financial Analyst at Finansbank from 1999. He later moved to Vestel, starting as a Financial Specialist before moving into his first treasury role.

He then worked as Treasury Supervisor at PETKIM, Group Treasury Manager at Soktas Tekstil A.S. and Treasury Manager at FELDA IFFCO, before returning to Vestel as Group Treasury Manager in 2013.

Aside from this he also has two awards in Digital Treasury Transformation, Adam Smith Awards 2021- Highly Recommended Winner, Best Cyber Security Solution and top three finalist in the 'Treasury Transformation' category at the Alexander Hamilton Awards 2022.
