Sharing Your Faith in a Non-Christian World

SERIES: “FEARLESS” Paul wrote his second letter to Timothy knowing that his end was near, being held by Emperor Nero of Rome in a dank dungeon. As the NIV Study Bible notes, “Paul was concerned about the welfare of the churches doing this time of persecution under Nero, and he admonishes Timothy to guard the gospel (1:14), to persevere in it (3:14), to keep on preaching it (4:2) and, if necessary, to suffer for it (1:8; 2:3). This series will equate the challenges to Christianity that existed in Paul’s time to the dangers it faces in our time, in what some refer to as a post-Christian age.
