Captain Mintax may not appreciate it, but we've just managed to download a new batch of his personal logs when he accidentally posted them into the public section of his ship’s database. We’ll add a new log entry periodically to this site as we decode them. You should listen to them while you can because if he ever finds out we have them, we’ll have to go into hiding, and so will you if he finds out you've listened to them. The first entry we’ve been able to make available is from a mission to deliver cargo to the Proteans. It didn’t go very well for the crew on this one since a few unfortunate problems cropped up along the way, but we’ll let you hear about it from the Captain himself. He’s better at explaining it than we could ever hope to be.

The Adventures of Maya the Bee Waldemar Bonsels The Adventures of Maya the Bee is an exciting tale for children of all ages. Themes of growth and development of courage and wisdom are found, as well as the extreme joy and satisfaction that Maya experiences in the beauty of creation and all creatures. Her ultimate and innate loyalty to her Nation of Bees is acted out in the final heroic scenes. This story gives us the delightful sense of having seen a small segment of the world through a Bee's eyes. (Summary by Brenda Price) The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (Full Audiobook) by Mark Twain Mark Twain Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The by Mark TwainThe Adventures of Tom Sawyer (published 1876) is a very well-known and popular story concerning American youth. Mark Twain's lively tale of the scrapes and adventures of boyhood is set in St. Petersburg, Missouri, where Tom Sawyer and his friend Huckleberry Finn have the kinds of adventures many boys can imagine: racing bugs during class, impressing girls, especially Becky Thatcher, with fights and stunts in the schoolyard, getting lost in a cave, and playing pirates on the Mississippi River. One of the most famous incidents in the book describes how Tom persuades his friends to do a boring, hateful chore for him: whitewashing (i.e., painting) a fence. This was the first novel to be written on a typewriter. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Odalis Marcela Vega Hidalgo The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is an adaptation of the timeless novel by Mark Twain. Part of the Ladder Series, this volume has approximately 2000 headwords and is appropriate for intermediate to advanced learners. This tale of Huckleberry Finn and his adventures on the Mississippi River is a well-loved piece of American literature. Considered a classic, this book’s story is one of friendship, loyalty, and difficult choices. The Adventures of Master F.J. George Gascoigne This story presents through letters, poems and third-person commentary the love affair between a young man named Freeman Jones and a married woman named Elinor, lady of the castle he is visiting in Scotland. Events in the affair are traced from initial attraction through seduction to (somewhat) graphic sexual encounters and their aftermath. (Allegedly based on a real-life scandal, the author, in re-issuing his story two years later, transplanted the action to Italy, renaming the principals Fernando Jeronimi and Leonora.)
