Shooting involving officers under investigation in south Charlotte

An investigation is underway at a south Charlotte gas station after a shooting involving officers early Tuesday morning, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said.Officers were investigating the scene at the QuikTrip gas station on South Boulevard, near East Arrowood Road, just before 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. CMPD said officers made multiple attempts to stop a vehicle before the driver ultimately pulled over. The person got out of the vehicle, and officers "perceived an imminent deadly threat." At least one officer fired at the person, shooting them.
