Significant funding allocated for Ballisodare Regeneration Project

Sligo County Council have been allocated €640,000 to appoint a design team for a regeneration project in Ballisodare.Two sites have also been purchased for redevelopment out of this fund, one on the Main Street in Ballisodare, and the other near the Old Mill building.The rest of the funding will be used to appoint a multi-disciplinary team to bring the project to a finalised design, with the team expected to be in place by the end of this year.Speaking to Ocean FM News, local Fine Gael councillor, Thomas Walsh, says it's high time that Ballisodare has received significant investment like this.
