Silent Falls - Two Summers (8 of 11)

from Playing at the Hearth · host The Open Hearth Gaming Community

As adults, Kira & Terry meet up to check out the recording studio that Jeremiah has told them he's thinking of buying - there they find some signs that everything is not what they seem.Meanwhile Jeremiah calls in on Lorraine Briarwood, to have a difficult conversation that's been put off for too long.*****Two Summers is a game of sunny adventures and light drama across two timelines by Côme Martin. We'll be using the supplement Other Summers - which means that our adventures will have less sunshine (as befits Silent Falls). In this game, players take the role of characters living an adventure during two different time periods, freely alternating between adolescence and adulthood. These are light adventures, meaning people can get scared and suffer from sentimental pitfalls but any violent or socially heavy situations should be avoided if possible. Finally, this is a game with no supernatural elements, so as to better appreciate the hidden treasures of mundane summers! You'll like this game if you enjoy light drama, sunny adventures and good-hearted nostalgia! Its diceless system is deliberately very simple: you can explain it in a few minutes and its summary fits on a single page, so as to better put a greater emphasis on storytelling and roleplaying. Two Summers is by Côme Martin and is available here https://comemartin.itch.io/two-summersFind me on itch.io: https://donogh.itch.io or on Mastodon: https://dice.camp/@donoghFind the Open Hearth gaming community: https://openhearthgaming.com/#ActualPlay #TTRPG #OpenHearthOriginal video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXhCgw2LFCo ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★
