Sing Choirs of Angels

Sing Choirs of Angels is a recent addition to our Advent calendar and has proved immensely popular. It takes place on Christmas Eve 2021 at 4:30pm for all those who cannot make it to Midnight Mass or for those who need a moment to draw breath and reflect in this busiest of times. The service comprises seasonal music, readings and poetry conjuring up a celebratory yet reflective atmosphere ahead of the big day. The service provides an opportunity for our professional St Bride’s Choir to explore non-biblical sacred texts – music this year will include Lennox Berkeley’s In Wintertime and Paul Drayton’s How like an angel came I down, settings of poetry by Betty Askwith and Thomas Traherne respectively. ========================= If you enjoy listening, please leave a comment below or subscribe to our channel.
