Sinn Féin launch fisheries and seafood survey

Sinn Féin have launched what they claim to be a comprehensive Fisheries and Seafood survey.The findings of the survey were launched earlier by the Donegal TD, and spokesperson on Fisheries and the Marine, Pádraig Mac Lochlainn, and by the Chair of the Oireachtas Committee on Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, Conor McGuinness in Leinster House.The survey highlighted the severe challenges facing the industry.Respondents underlined a sector in distress, facing mounting economic pressures, regulatory challenges, and a sense of neglect from both the Irish government and European Union.Speaking to Ocean FM, Deputy Padraig Mac Lochlainn earlier explained how many in the sector are giving serious concern to their future.
