SITB 161 feat. Bondar(DJ/Producer)

from Sherm In The Booth · host Sherm In The Booth

SHEESH sometimes I don't realize how far along we are but you know I only love this more and more every episode... especially when the guest is someone as awesome as the talented DJ/Producer Bondar!!! My guy Oleg was in town from San Diego and I am so glad we got to link up in person for this special interview. 🎙 In episode 161 we discussed: •Early influences and inspirations: Oleg was born and raised in Ukraine where electronic music became a part of his everyday life. He moved to Chicago before he was a teenager and delve even deeper into house/techno and eventually started DJing. The rest is history! 🎧 •Becoming Bondar: Oleg has had multiple aliases and produced a few varieties of electronic music over the course of his career but has recently locked in to who he wants to be long-term in the past 5 years. We had a great discussion on finding your sound and how it is important to always collaborate with others and try new things - there is so much to learn with music production. 📚 •The Bondar Discography: Spark notes... it's extremely legit. He's had some MASSIVE releases on labels like Realm, Sola, House of Hustle, Hood Politics, South of Saturn and Glasgow Underground - just to name a few. Amazing collaborations across the board with talents like Papa Marlin, Burko, and DuBeats. Amazing compositions every single time. 🎼 We were laughing and having a blast this entire interview and I know you will enjoy it just as much as I did. Lots of impactful lessons and pieces of advice sprinkled throughout as well - I cannot wait to see this guy again soon. ⭐️ Thank you for making some time to come on SITB and make sure y'all go show this guy some love and listen to his music!
