SITB 164 feat. Cloverdale (DJ/Producer)

from Sherm In The Booth · host Sherm In The Booth

I have a very special guest and it's someone that I am such a big fan of - we've got the one and ONLY Cloverdale on for this week's episode and I know you guys will enjoy this one just as much as I did. 🤩 In episode 164 we discussed: •Early inspirations and influences: Cloverdale is originally from Ottawa, ON and grew up playing in rock and metal bands. Once he heard Skrillex's "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites", he was immediately drawn to the unique energy and parallels between rock/metal and electronic music. Shortly after he was inspired to start making his own music with friends and the rest is history! 📖 •From Dubstep to Tech House: Cloverdale wasn't always Cloverdale...he was originally known as AWAL and produced dubstep for a good portion of his career so far. Even though he was having success, he was also playing house sets as Cloverdale and became obsessed with the energy from the crowd. In 2018 he started officially releasing music under the Cloverdale moniker and slowly transitioned out of the dubstep scene (but he still makes dubstep and loves the music) 💚 •Cloverdale Discography: Cloverdale is such a special producer and harnesses his dubstep creativity in an extremely unique way with his 4 on the floor tech house tracks. This style has given him the credibility to release on labels like Confession, Night Service Only, Dim Mak, Gold Deeper, IN / Rotation and so many more. ⭐️ •Vibrancy Label: In late 2020, Cloverdale launched "Vibrancy" - a forward thinking tech house label with one sound in mind... "HIGH OCTANE TECH HOUSE" and my lord do they deliver. We had a blast talking about the ins and outs of what it's like running a label and everything that goes into making it successful. 💥 Cloverdale is someone that you absolutely need to add to the rolodex - his music speaks for itself but he's so much more than your average DJ/Producer. He's making an impact and everything he does comes straight from the heart. Much love and respect my man and thanks for coming on! linktr.ee/sherminthebooth
