SITB 165 feat. No Pants Party (DJ/Producer Duo)

from Sherm In The Booth · host Sherm In The Booth

I am so glad our schedules were able to line up to do this in person on a beautiful rooftop in downtown Chicago - and you know I had to do it big for the ladies of No Pants Party! ❌👖🎉 In episode 165 we got it all in and got their full story through now: •Early inspirations and influences: Both from Seattle, WA - Jamie and Kiraleigh fell in love with electronic music in the late 2000's and were taken back by the incredible culture and energy behind the genre. They became full-on festival and show lovers together and started to dabble with DJing and production during the early 2010's. 🎟 •Becoming NPP: After years of being in the crowd, they decided it was time to take a chance at finding their way to the stage. They felt there were not enough female DJ's (particularly DJ Duo's) and made the full commitment to their brand in order to achieve their new dream. Loved this part of the interview 💕 •Discography: In 2018, NPP started releasing their own music and quickly became a name to keep your eyes on. They've had massive releases on globally known house labels like Hood Politics, Low Ceiling, Wyldcard, and Toolroom - they have a really special sound and it was so much fun breaking down how these all came together. 💪🏻 I have been following NPP since 2018 when I first discovered them through a Gene Farris remix competition - even back then I was already very impressed and it's amazing to see how far they have come. Truly special people. ⭐️ Thanks so much for making time while you were in Chi town and I can't wait to see you guys in San Diego soon!!
