SITB 177 feat. Galo (DJ/Producer)

from Sherm In The Booth · host Sherm In The Booth

The Chicago Hood Politics Chapter officially launched Friday Sept 3 and we brought in Hood Poli Superstar GALO to kick things off! Galo and I sat down a few hours before the show and had a blast getting his full story 🙌🏻 In episode 177 we discussed: -The Instrumentalist: Galo has always had a pure passion for music and can play multiple instruments including the saxophone, bass and guitar. He's got a dark side that LOVES metal and rock n roll which has translated to his music production style in a multitude of ways. Plain and simple, this guy is wired different when it comes to music and creativity. 🤩 -Discography: Although he's only been in the game for a few years, he has already made himself VERY well-known in the music community. He only releases absolute FIRE beats like his "Bad Reputation" EP on Hood Politics Records, the "Sun Spot" EP with Nolon on Rawsome Records, and his most recent original "Kill Bill" via Nite Records. Ya gotta add this dude to your Rolodex. ⭐️ •Sparking Creativity: Galo and I had a great conversation on how he stays creative in the studio. As a musician, he tries to push - but not force - himself to create those "happy accidents". Galo also shared some of his unique strategies to being original in the house, minimal, and tech house space. This man was an open book and I loved it! 📓 Not only is Galo and incredible producer, but he's also an amazing DJ who performs like a true headliner. I am so excited to see what the future holds for this young talent - already a legend in my eyes! 🏆 So glad we got to do this in person my man and thanks for coming out for the Chicago Hood Poli kickoff!! 🤘🏻
