SITB 180 feat. Ranger Trucco (DJ/Producer)

from Sherm In The Booth · host Sherm In The Booth

180 features one of the biggest rising stars in house music Ranger Trucco!! I caught up with Ranger over Zoom and had so much fun getting his full story In 180 we discussed: •Early days in music: Ranger is originally from Traverse City, MI (allll the way up there) and has been a lover of music his whole life. His older brother started DJing in high school and Ranger quickly fell in love with the art of DJing. After one year at Oregon, he decided he wanted to pursue music as more than a hobby and transferred to the famous music production school Icon Collective where he took his passion to the next level. The rest is history! 📖 •Discography: Ranger's first release was less than a year ago and he's already about to cross the 1MM stream mark - for GOOD reason. This dude has put out some serious heat like his "Free Dessert" EP on Night Bass, "Pretty Girls" EP on Space Yacht, "Horiscopes and Marijuana" on Sink or Swim and "Life of Sin" with Westend on Insomniac Records - just to name a few. It'll take you maybe 10 seconds into a Ranger track to understand why he's such a special producer. ⭐️ •Production Process: If you know Ranger, you know his tracks are a cut above for many different reasons. Not only are his tracks incredibly well-produced, but he also records his own vocals for almost every track. His monolog vocal style fuses together spoken-word hip-hop with Dirtybird weirdness with a sprinkle of UK house - and then he adds his secret sauce. I legit laugh at how good the vocals are on his tracks. 🤯 Although Ranger is young in the game, his attitude, passion and professionalism for the music industry is very mature. We connected on so many different aspects of not only music but also life. Straight up, this dude is the man. 💪🏻 Thanks so much for coming on the show my friend and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for you! 🤘🏻
