SITB 188 feat. Alex Amaro (DJ/Producer/Journalist)

from Sherm In The Booth · host Sherm In The Booth

Episode 188 features the amazing DJ/Producer and Journalist Alex Amaro!! Alex is an extremely interesting guy who has been in the industry for years. This was such a fun interview and I know you will all enjoy it. 😃 In 188 we got it all in and discussed: •Journey Into Dance Music: Born and raised in the Bay Area of CA, Alex has always had a passion for music. Growing up, he was in a boys choir that went around the world and actually sang for the Pope! Eventually he went to his first rave in 1999 and fell in love with electronic music. Since then, he has committed his life to the dance music community in so many ways and continues to make a profound impact on both sides of the industry. 🤘🏻 •Dance Music Journalism: In the 2000's, Alex was given an opportunity to write for a blog run by the one and only Dani Deahl - he was hooked and discovered a new way to share his thoughts on dance music current events, music and so much more. He has published articles for Insomniac, DJ Tech Tools, Roland, Festival Insider and currently is on the staff for Gray Area. I loved hearing how passionate Alex is about his work and it's amazing to see all the success he's having! 🎤📝 •Discography: Alex is a VERY talented producer and recently branched away from his Breakbeat project "Psychosis" to re-focus his time towards house music. His current project, "Alex Amaro" combines a fantastic fusion of multiple genres that leaves listeners always wanting more. With releases like "Make You Sweat" via, ODFM Records, "Rise" via Nightenjin, and "Digits" via Brooklyn Fire, there's no denying that the future looks very bright for Alex. ⭐️ This was easily one of the most fluid conversations I've had on the show and it's no surprise - Alex and I both share so many of the same passions and interests and we genuinely love this community that has given back so much to us. ❤️‍🔥 I learned so much from Alex during this interview and I know you'll enjoy this conversation as much as we did. 🙌🏻 linktr.ee/sherminthebooth
