SITB 194 feat. Kaleena Zanders (EDM Vocalist/Songwriter)

from Sherm In The Booth · host Sherm In The Booth

I'm truly honored to have the one and only Kaleena Zanders on SITB!! She is one of the most profound vocalists and songwriters in this generation of dance music and we had such a blast getting her full story. 📖 In 194 we got it all and discussed: •Early inspirations and influences: Kaleena grew up in San Jose, CA and has always loved music. Her parents were always very supportive of her passion and encouraged her to sing and dance as much as she wanted. Her mom put her in musical theater and she was immediately HOOKED with the art of performing. Eventually she joined a band but made the jump to become an independent artist in Los Angeles and hasn't looked back since. 😎 •Discography: Kaleena's voice truly speaks for itself and it's given her the opportunity to work with some of the biggest artists in dance music. She burst onto the scene in 2015 as the featured singer on SNBRN's "California" (which was remixed by Chris Lake and Matroda) and has gone on to work with AC Slater, Loud Luxury, Breathe Carolina, Win and Woo, Autograf, J. Worra and more. Her most recent track, "Carry Us" with LP Giobbi, was ranked in the top 40 dance music tracks of 2021 by Billboard. So yeah... she's killin it! 👏🏻 •Future Goals: As a singer/songwriter, Kaleena has primarily collaborated with other producers and singers on a majority of her tracks. Now, with all of her experience she's ready to start releasing solo projects that she directs from beginning to the end. Kaleena shared some of her biggest goals for this year including solo tours, making more original music, and collaborating with artists that truly inspire her. Y'all better get ready, 2022 is gonna be a big year for Kaleena! 💥 I was lucky enough to meet Kaleena in person after she performed with SG Lewis in Chicago - she literally got me into the Soho House so we could see Disclosure b2b SG Lewis. If that's not a real one, I don't know what is! She's seriously so awesome in every way.💫 Kaleena, thank you so much for taking the time to come on the show and I can't wait to hang out with you again soon! 🙌🏻 linktr.ee/sherminthebooth
