SITB 208 feat. Anthony Attalla (DJ/Producer)

from Sherm In The Booth · host Sherm In The Booth

Episode 208 features one of my favorite DJ/Producers and Chicago LEGEND Anthony Attalla!! I've been a fan of Anthony since I first got into house music and I'm truly honored to have him on the show. ⭐️ This was a little different of an interview - we flipped the script and just talked man to man, DJ to DJ, human to human. Anthony is a really interesting and genuine guy and I'm so glad we did this in person! 🎙 In 208 we discussed: •Outdoor Attalla: Anthony's relationship with the outdoors is incredibly special. A midwest boy at heart, he's always made time to be with himself and close friends outdoors. We shared stories of backpacking, hiking, and how special being in the wilderness really is. Anthony is an avid outdoorsman and has actually done most of his outdoor experiences alone - you are truly one with yourself when you do. 🤩 -Music Industry Attalla: This man is truly a totem in house music - he released his first song in 2008 and has since released hundreds of incredible originals, remixes and collabs over the years. His label "Incorrect" has become an institution through events and releases from artists like Gettoblaster, Tim Baresko, Max Styler, Offaiah, and more. We got DEEP on the realities of the industry and what it takes to be successful as an artist - you always need to be hustling. 💪🏻 •State of the Industry: Like I said, this man released his first track in 2008 and actually dropped his job to pursue a career in music. This was WAY before it was cool to be a DJ - this man saw the future and gave his insights on the past, present and future of the business. Anthony has cultivated and grown so many relationships over the years and is an amazing example of what's required to make it on your own. 🙌🏻 He's a humble guy, but he truly is an inspiration to me and so many others in the music industry. His dedication to his label, his non-stop effort to grow his own brand, and his level of commitment to staying level-headed is beyond admirable. Mad love and respect Anthony! 😎 linktr.ee/sherminthebooth
