Sligo Cathaoirleach urges local TD’s to be more proactive on securing Surgical Hub locally

The Cathaoirleach of the Local Authority in Sligo has urged Local TD's to play their part in the establishment of a surgical hub in Sligo.   A business case has been made for a surgical hub in Sligo, but there is no green light from government yet on the project. The proposed 42 bed ward for Sligo University Hospital would help alleviate pressure currently faced by the health service in the North West region.  Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, and member of the regional health forum west, Cllr Declan Bree, says local TDs must be heard on the issue:
