Sligo Councillor warns that jobs could be lost over the delays in reconnecting broadband

A Sligo Councillor has warned that the delays involved restoring broadband connection to parts of the county is putting the jobs of remote workers at risk.  Fresh concern has been raised in relation to the amount of time it is taking to restore broadband connection to a number of customers of customers in Sligo.   Sligo Drumcliffe Councillor, Edel McSharry is urging National Broadband Ireland (NBI) to improve restoration times and provide better communication to customers in Sligo. The Fianna Fáil elected representative says that disruptions in some cases are impacting customers for periods of time in excess six weeks an in one instance placed the job security of a remote worker at risk
