Sligo Councillor warns that Lack of Home Help in Sligo could lead to increased pressure on local Hospitals
The HSE and Minister for Health are to be contacted over a lack of home help staff in Sligo. There are fears that if the staffing isn't addressed soon, there will be an increase in attendance at hospitals and elderly homes. It's thought that the current recruitment restrictions in place at the HSE has led to the shortage. Independent Cllr Michael Clarke says a number of people have been in contact over the situation:
