Sligo Rovers to get word on Master Plan funding next month

Sligo Rovers application for funding in excess of €10 million to redevelop the Showgrounds will reach a conclusion in October. The project aims to provide the town with a new multi-sport stadium - the first UEFA Category 3 Stadium outside Dublin - in the lead up to Sligo Rovers’ centenary in 2028. A funding application was lodged by the club earlier this summer. Following discussions with Minister for Sport Catherine Martin this week, Sligo Leitrim Fine Gael TD Frank Feighan who says other local sporting clubs are also set to get good news next week:
