Sligo University Hospital to get new CT scanner

A second Cardiology CT Scanner will be provided at Sligo University Hospital following the latest capital funding plan.There have been recent calls for the equipment and a full-time Cath Lab service, so patients wouldn’t have to go elsewhere in the country.As is stands, a number of people have had to travel to Galway and Sligo, despite SUH having the IT capable of operating the system.Speaking ahead of the announcement, Independent Cllr Michael Clarke highlighted the importance of the service and how it would save the HSE money:
