Sligo's High Street fully reopens at long last
After many agonising months, High Street in Sligo has fully reopened. Demolition works had been taking place on a number of derelict buildings in the area, which resulted in severe restrictions to both pedestrians and traffic. The works are now finished. Businesses along the street had also experienced a major loss in revenue. Rosaleen Doonan of Like Nu Dry Cleaners says while it's positive that the works have finally been compete, lessons need to be learned over why it took so long:
