For today’s show, I had the pleasure of chatting with BaoBao Chen, Producer and Co-founder, and Tim Cole, Co-founder and Artistic Director of Small Island Big Song. Small Island Big Song will be performing at the National Concert Hall in Taipei on April 16th, participating in this year's Taiwan International Festival of Arts (TIFA). After touring to 17 countries reaching over 200K+ live audiences, this internationally acclaimed concert is a synergy of indigenous artists uniting their islands musical lineages with contemporary musical sensIbilities and environmental concerns and now they're finally bringing it home to where it all began. Featuring Indigenous Taiwanese artists Putad (Amis), the lead vocalist of Outlet Drift, and Sauljaljui (Paiwan), award winning singer-songwriter, on stage with their Austronesian family from Madagascar, Mauritius, Rapa Nui (Easter Island) and Papua New Guinea.
