Your windshield is angry. Your coffee is essential. And snow is already knocking on the door. Folks, a quick burst of snow rolls into Providence right around 6 A.M. It peaks near 10 A.M., then tapers off by 2 P.M. Less than an inch total. Nuisance snow. The kind that makes your wipers work but won't cancel anything. Temperatures start at 13 degrees around 5 A.M.. Then climb fast. You'll hit 36 degrees by 1 P.M. Winds shift southeast around 6 A.M., gusting to 28 miles an hour. That wind will find every zipper gap you've got. Now slide down toward Narragansett Bay. Precipitation runs from 6 A.M. through 3 P.M., peaking around 10 A.M. Snow early, then rain sneaks in as the bay warms quicker. You're at 26 degrees around 5 A.M., jumping to 36 by 9 A.M. Winds shift southwest near 10 A.M. with gusts pushing 33 miles an hour. Feels raw out there. That damp ocean chill cuts right through fleece. Tonight, clouds hang around. Providence drops to 27 degrees. The bay holds near 31. So what's the week look like? Thursday brings some sun and a high near 38 degrees, with a slight chance of snow sneaking in after 4 P.M. Friday? Quiet and sunny. Saturday is the gem.. 46 degrees. Warmest day in a while. Perfect for a long walk along the waterfront. But enjoy it, because Sunday night into Monday, an Arctic blast crashes the party. Teens are coming back. One bright spot. We're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight today. Spring equinox is just three weeks out. The light is winning. Keep those gloves in the car today.
