Soak It Up

Welcome to the Friday Refresh brought to you by Liberte ministries at TravisLovesHaiti.com. This Sunday some people will celebrating their father who is in the prime of his life. Some dads will be celebrating their first ever Father’s Day. Others people will be thinking of their Father that is no longer with them. Still more will struggle because their relationship wasn’t great with their dad. I have no idea where you are in this and it’s impossible to say something that will help you all. But let me simply say this… and you can apply it to whatever relationship you find it appropriate. Don’t take any moment for granted. So if you are a dad - Happy Father’s Day and soak it up. They grow up and it happens faster than I could believe. If you have your dad still around do your best to show that you appreciate him for the time and energy he put into you… or at the very least thank him for giving you life. If you no longer have your dad - then take a moment and reflect on the things he taught you - in his action, his words, or his mistakes that you have learned from and adjusted your life to do better than he did. Just don’t take any moment for granted. With your dads, your moms, your grandparents, or your kids. Soak it up. These moments don’t last forever. So do all you can to make today, tomorrow, Sunday, and every moment beyond that day the absolute best it can be.
