Soccer Saturday August 23, 2025  Segment 1 (0:00- 2:36)- Greg Rakestraw opens the show by previewing the upcoming home matches and recapping the end of the Jägermeister Cup in the Quarterfinals. They are now focused on USL Championship play with 11 matches to go and trying to make a run toward the playoffs.  Segment 2 (5:36-14:48) Indy Eleven Head Coach Sean McAuley joins the show for his weekly segment. Today's conversation recaps the loss on Wednesday to end the Jägermeister Cup run in the Quarterfinals. But the attention turns to this weekend and the resumption of the USL Championship playoff race and their upcoming match against Miami. Coach talks about the high expectations that the team and fans has and how it may have affected the match. He talks about what the team does in the quick turnaround with only a few days between matches. Greg ends the segment by a look at the USL Championship table and the weekend schedule.  Segment 3 (17:48-23:49) During this segment, Indy Eleven Forward and goal scorer from Wednesday night, Romario Williams joins the show via the postgame interview from Wednesday's loss in the Jägermeister Cup Quarterfinals. He talks about the disappointment of losing in Penalties and not getting a chance to play for a Championship in the Tournament. Romario also talks about what he saw in the play setting up his goal.  Segment 4 (26:49-41:03) The College Soccer Season is underway and joining the show today is Butler Women's Soccer Co Head Coach Tari St. John. She talks about the team's 2-0 start to the year and what she has seen from her team so far.  She also discusses the continuity of the team and that the team has not had a transfer out in over four years. The coach talks about the culture of Butler soccer and why kids love to play and grow in the program and the value of the players. She previews upcoming road matches against two Big Ten Schools in Purdue and Northwestern.  Segment 5 (44:03-56:45) To close the show today, Greg talks about the match this evening on Indiana Night and where you can find it on TV. Greg discusses the first weekend of the Premier League Season in England and previews the upcoming weekend of soccer including Wrexham making their debut in the Championship League with the popularity of Welcome to Wrexham.
