Soccer Saturday August 2nd

Segment 1  – Greg Rakestraw opens the show as he returns after Ian Gilmour hosted the last two weeks. He begins today by previewing what is coming during the course of the show with the Indy Eleven advancing to the Quarterfinals of the Jägermeister Cup. He previews the coaches and players we will hear from over the next hour.   Segment 2 – We welcome in the Head Coach of the Boys in Blue as Sean McAuley talks with Greg Rakestraw about their win last week over FC Tulsa to clinch their spot in the Quarterfinals at home vs Greenville Triumph SC. They then preview the matchup tonight against the Tampa Bay Rowdies. Greg then takes a look at the League Table and talks about where things stand across the USL.  Segment 3  - During this segment, we hear from Indy Eleven midfield Cam Lindley as he will become the 5th member of the 100 appearance club with the boys in blue tonight versus Tampa Bay.  Segment 4 - In this segment, Greg gets to talk with Hunter Sulte and Bruno Rendon postgame after their 2-1 victory over FC Tulsa in the last matchday of the Jägermeister Cup group stage as they helped Indy into the knockout stage. Afterwards, Greg Rakestraw talks the final 8 of the tournament.  Segment 5 – In the final segment of the day, Greg Rakestraw talks the world of soccer, as he goes into English football and things elsewhere around the world of club soccer as well as international men’s and women’s soccer. He then closes out another week of Soccer Saturday.
