SOME OF THE ROADS I HAVE SEEN - An original Poem by Emiliano Martín

from Poesía con voz -Emiliano Martín- Podcasts

"Some of the Roads I have Seen” is an original poem by Emiliano Martín, published in 1998. It appears on page 47 in one of his books, titled “The Legacy of a Poet.” The poem became a set of lyrics accompanied by guitar music converting it into a song. The theme is based on observations around life and the many repetitious situations, at time not that funny at all, but tragic human events reoccurring in history all over the World. The poet and his verse display the human side of any of us while in contact with acknowledgement and endearment, enhanced by a poetic form packed with feelings. The poem is recited by the poet himself, and with the musical theme “The Quest” from the movie 1942, it is a perfect vibrating melody for the words of the poet… all for the listeners of Poesia con Voz.
