Sophia Stewart | The Mother of the Matrix | Part 1 of 2

from VERITAS

According to Sophia Stewart , in 1999, after seeing the movie "The Matrix," she filed a copyright lawsuit against the Wachowski Brothers, Joel Silver and Warner Brothers. She was shocked to learn that the movie was based on her original manuscript entitled the "The Third Eye," which has a copyright, which dates back to 1981. The FBI also found during the course of their investigation that her copyrighted script was passed to James Cameron over at Columbia Pictures, and he infringed it as well for his movie "The Terminator." "According to court documentation, an FBI investigation discovered that more than thirty minutes had been edited from the original Matrix film, in an attempt to avoid penalties for copyright infringement. The investigation also stated that credible witnesses employed at Warner Brothers came forward, claiming that the executives and lawyers had full knowledge that the work in question did not belong to the Wachowski Brothers. These witnesses claimed to have seen Stewart's original work and that it had been often used during preparation of the motion pictures. The defendants tried, on several occasions, to have Stewart's case dismissed, without success.
