It has been my lone companion on many road trips. But it’s also been present for every large gathering I’ve ever been to…from crowded worship halls to packed stadiums to excited conferences. It is one of the first things that soothes a new born baby. It is one of those things that bring peace to a dying person. And it’s no wonder. Even our heart keeps a rhythm. Just a few months after conception the heart starts beating. It’s the very sign of life.
