South Africa's Cape Town International Jazz Festival is billed as one of the largest jazz festival on the African Continent, and the fourth largest in the world. The festival brings a melting pot international artists into the continent for a feast of jazz and urban music. It begins on the 19th of this month and goes on for ten days. However the festival does not only focus on entertaining crowds, but also includes strong development programmes in disadvantage communities.
