Your evening South Carolina weather update Right now we're tracking a Special Weather Statement for parts of the Upstate. Doppler radar shows a strong thunderstorm about 15 miles north of Laurens, near Woodruff, moving southeast at 30 miles per hour. While the severe threat is diminishing, we could still see a few showers or thunderstorms pushing into northwestern areas this evening.
