Speed reduction to be introduced on Leitrim roads

It's been confirmed that the speed limit on rural roads in county Leitrim are to move to 60km/h.The move comes following the county's yearly speed limit review which was discussed at today's meeting of the Manorhamilton Municipal District.  Measures are set to be in place from February next year. Local Fianna Fáil Councillor Mary Bohan is hopeful in a time where there is increased volume of vehicles on the road, it will go some way to reduce road injuries and fatalities.
