Prior to joining the firm, he served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for European and NATO Policy, where he was responsible for managing the day-to-day defense relationship between the United States and NATO, the EU and more than 40 European countries. He also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs in the first Obama term. Before joining DGA-ASG, Ambassador Reeker, who leads the firm’s Europe and Eurasia Practice, served as Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in the United Kingdom from 2021 to 2022 and was Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia from 2019 to 2021. Before retiring from the Foreign Service, he was the Secretary of State’s Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations.
