Spotting and escaping poisonous personalities

Psychologist Leanne Tenbrinke has spent over a decade studying dark personality traits including psychopathy, narcissism, Machiavellianism and sadism. Her new book 'Poisonous People' provides strategies for identifying, avoiding and managing relationships with individuals who exhibit these antagonistic traits. Tenbrinke explains that people with high levels of these traits often lack motivation to change, and offers specific advice for safely exiting toxic relationships, co-parenting with difficult personalities, and spotting behavioural cues like constant interrupting and shallow emotional expressions.
